“If you want to learn what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph.”
When someone is scared of losing something, it means that it has value to them and is worth too much to be taken away. Have you ever felt not good enough to be photographed? Unvalued and unworthy?
Right here, right now, I am taking a photo of you because you, dear reader, are valuable. You are not defined by your past mistakes or your troubled past. You are a person living right now and worth so much that a man was willing to die on the cross for you – just for you.
Whatever makes you feel ashamed or guilty or sinful has been washed away and forgiven. You are a whole new person and God’s mercies are daily and abundant.
He hasn’t photographed you but He has engraved us on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16) – that has got to mean more than a mere photo, right?
You are valuable and God fears losing YOU.
